The Opportunity:
In response to the increasing demand, we are expanding our UK team and are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer – Building Services with a strong technical background and practical experience in the design of electrical building services systems. You will assist with initiatives throughout the EMEA region, such as mission-critical projects and data centers. In your capacity as the electrical design lead, you will collaborate with engineering teams worldwide, offering technical guidance and leadership in the development of designs, drawings, studies, and reports.
This position is located in either our London or Glasgow office and has a hybrid schedule that includes three days in the office and two days working remotely.
The Team:
The Electrical Engineering department, which is a component of BV Operations, is comprised of more than 1,000 professionals who are responsible for the delivery of critical electrical infrastructure projects in a variety of sectors for Black & Veatch. While simultaneously concentrating on your professional development, you will contribute to the construction of a world of difference through infrastructure development, ranging from small community initiatives to large-scale mega projects. Key Responsibilities:
- With the assistance of senior engineers as needed, create comprehensive electrical system designs that encompass illumination, fire alarms, structured cabling, and security systems, as well as HV/LV distribution.
- Provide support, supervise, and develop comprehensive specifications and plans for our international design team.
- Collaborate with project teams to guarantee that designs adhere to industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to incorporate electrical systems with other engineering disciplines.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to team members and novice engineers.
- Prepare and deliver project documentation, reports, and design calculations.
